2017 Julia's Red Wine
Winemaker’s Notes: 2016 was another excellent growing season for the Langman Estate Winery area of the Sierra Foothills in California. It was a very long, dry summer with excellent diurnal temperature changes that allowed the fruit to mature very evenly over the 7+ month growing season that extended harvest into October. This is a vintage of special, very rich wines.
The Wine: Blackberry, blueberry, pancake, violet and cherry bouquet. This a rich and well balanced medium bodied wine with a long finishing palate of blueberry, caramel, chocolate covered cherry and boysenberry. Toast!

Tasting Notes
Our annual blend of mostly Bordeaux varietals. The Wine: Blackberry, pancake, violet and cherry bouquet. This a rich and well balanced medium bodied wine with a long finishing palate of blueberry, caramel, chocolate covered cherry and boysenberry. Toast!
Vineyard Notes
2,400 foot elevation, crushed granite soil, south facing vineyard in the Sierra Foothills in California. High Desert. For about 7 months each year, the humidity is below 25%, diurnal temperatures of 93 daytime and 58 nighttime and almost no rain for the entire growing season. Perfect place to grow great wine grapes!

15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petite Verdot, 50% Malbec, 5% Petite Sirah
2017 was a another, very rich vintage, this year's Bordeaux Blend needed a Rhone varietal, (Petite Sirah), addition!
